Agarwal Girls’ High School was planted as a seedling in1925 by the clan of Shri. Raja Shambhu Dayal (Former Treasurer of Nizam VI) from shinghana, Rajasthan to educate girls. At that time women were hidden behind the pardha. They knew that “If a girl is educated the whole family will be educated”. So they took first step to eradicate illiteracy from a family. This seedling was planted on Vinayaka Chaturthy in the year 1925 in a small house of two rooms in Urdu Mohalla named as “Agarwal Kanya Patshala”. At that time both boys and girls were given education in the school. After foundation fo Agarwal Siksha Samiti, boys were bifurcated from Agarwal Kanya Patashala.
On 22nd December 1949, the Agarwal Hindi Vidhyalaya Bhavan foundation was laid by Shri. Chakravarti Raja Gopala Chary, (1st Governor General of India) and the building was completed on 22nd June 1951 at the same premises. This building was inaugurated by the governor of Bombay Shri. Shri Prakash Agarwal. In this period the High School classes were started. Till 1949 though the medium of instruction was Urdu, Hindi was a compulsory subject. In 1950 the school got the permission from the government to start Hindi Medium. Till 1952 the seedling grew into a fruitful tree as High School with 412 girls from I to X.
Today the school is located in the heart of the city in a massive building providing good education. Under dynamic and able administrator Shri. Ashok Chand Agarwal present president and his team of members have brought a lot of changes in the institution providing quality education and inculcating moral values.
We are proud to say that our school always have excelled SSC result with highest pass percentage in Old City. The girls of our school excelled in many aspects of life by becoming Doctors, Engineers, Lectures and are even holding very high positions in corporate offices.
In our school building we have fully furnished ventilated and spacious class rooms. We have a big play ground for outdoor games, library and very good computer lab with 15 computers to give best computer education to our students. We also have games room amd science laboratory where the students do practicals to get practical knowledge.
In our school we are providing free text books and free mid – day meals is served to our students. Our visions is to make a girl excel in all aspects of life and move in the society by dominating the man society.
Our mission is to educate all the poor needy without any difference of caste and creed. Help all the economically backward students to excel in all aspects of life and to impact life skills and value education to all students.
Our school staff are giving strong foundation in education, developing good character and discipline, inculcating healthy habits.
Our school students won gold medals in Inter – District Level Championship in different categories. Our students always participated in Inter School Competition and came out with flying colours. We are proud to be the part of this prestigious institution.
School Building:- Our school is located in the heart of the old city. It is a multistoried building. We have big, spacious, airy, well-ventilated 25 rooms. We have a well-equipped computer lab, science lab, indoor games room etc. we show much academic related topics on the projector for better understanding. We have big play ground, volleyball, football, shuttle grounds for the students.
